Hey, what do you think about RTX 3080 with 20gb ? is there any chance for this in 2020? or its a fake news? I really hope its can go out really soon cos rendering 4k animation in blender with gpu need more or less like 17gb... 3080 10gb can't do this and 3090 have to big price compare with 3080... I hope for a price between existing models

The NEWEST word from reputable sources like Igors Lab, HotHardware, and TechPowerUp state that a 3080 Ti with 20GB is coming real soon; most likely mid-January 2021. The price should be around $999.99

I don't know if this might help your plans, but for me, it was really some good news because like you said the 10GB of memory didn't sound great to me either.
