What is the situation with AMD and nVidia cards today? I was always an Nvidia guy, but I was told that the newer RX cards can really hold their own against the newer RTX ones, is that true? Also the new RX 6500 XT I believe, which was announced only recently only has 4GB of Vram, something about, because you can't use those to meine Etherium since you need 6GB so the price won't inflate. Whats your take on this?

Depends on what you want (what's available actually). Nvidia still has the performance crown but AMD is catching up. Nvidia is on their second gen raytracing chips and AMD is their first so Nvidia's cards are better for that but the next gen cards should be really interesting.
