What are basic things that one should know when moving out and living on their own? What change from college to becoming a working adult impacted you the most?

A piece of advice would be to start learning about investing. Particularly for tax-advantaged accounts such as IRAs, 401k, HSA. They have yearly contribution limits, so the earlier you start, the better.

The r/personalfinance and r/investing subreddits are a good place to start learning. Just stay away from r/wallstreetbets lol.

Learn how to do taxes, doing laundry, at least some cooking and how to keep your financials in check. Also, everything you're gonna slack at at your job is 100% gonna come back to bite you in the ass, so don't do that Tongue
