What do you guys think of Daft Punk's retirement?

Sad to see such a great duo come to an end, but hopefully they still make solo projects etc in the future.

At least one of the two seems to be motivated to go on. There are separating, not dead. Their mind is still able to produce something with the past years of experience. We will simply have to accept that it gets a bit more different than usual.

It feels like theres no place in the world for them anymore. I say that as a huge fan, ive literally got over 1000 listens of instant crush lol. But pop and electronic/trap are dominating in the same way colour movies are - nobody is listening to shit thats not 10000BPM [over exaggeration] and thats a travesty- try telling a new friend youre putting on electronic music, theyll look at you like "wtf is this" if you dont put on some trap youtuber

Honestly I do feel a little bad, but I'm really glad that they already gave us such a huge library of music of theirs. Honestly I still listen to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack from time to time, simply because they really did a great job on it, not to mention a bunch of their other music.

Pretty sad to be honest it was so unexpected I really wanted them to stay and stick around and give us more amazing music, hopefully they go on their own paths instead of retiring 0_0
