What's your favorite stove design for camping? Anyone use rocket stoves and are there more modern and better designs than ones a decade ago such the Kelly Kettle? I've seen a lot of different designs pop up due to the inexpensive nature of laser cutting.

I use the MSR pocket rocket and it's been great for boiling water and healing up smaller pans. I've had friends bring a jet boil that also works really well. Only issue with those is you pretty much need their cookware to attach to the heating element otherwise it's likely to not stay balanced.

Those are popular, have you ever tried the cheaper clones and if so, are they worth it? MSR gear is solid though.
