I notice this a lot when playing open world games. I usually play for some time, play sonething else and then I restart the game I started playing

I cycle between getting really invested, and then totally bored very quickly and that's why I switch games very often.
Get really annoying when I forget the story in heavy plot games tho

Absolutely hate when this happens, spent 200 hours on a a modded minecraft world and got sad when I had a burnout, so much time and effort went into that world, its so nostalgic but i just cant get myself to play again.
