I never watched Naruto, either simply because it didn't interest me or because I couldn't find it dubbed, but now that I am finally watching it, it's not bad actually it's quite interesting.

As above stated, I recommend Bleach as well. Naruto wasn't my first anime but being one of the first I feel like it is a great place to start (if you are new to watching anime that is). If you  have other anime under your belt I recommend Fate/Zero. As much as Fate is memed for its complexity and other stuff I love the lore and the like, just gotta know what to watch first lol
