Hello everybody. I have been interested in learning programming for a little while and I'm finally going to get started. I always hear different recommendations for a first language. I hear Python a lot but I've also heard that something like C or C++ will give a better understanding.
For those programmers out there what would you recommend to start out with?

Python is overall great, you have a lot of basic but fun projects you can start with. You should try to investigate a bit of what you really want to do and maybe follow a path (YT videos are great) to achieve that. GL and enjoy it!

I am also taking my first CS class and python is the first language taught basically everywhere. People talk about HTML but that doesn't give you enough info about the fundamentals of programming

Python is best as it's syntax is similar to english
