When you watch foreign language movies do you prefer the original language with subtitles or the dubbed film? I use the original language with subtitles, it helped me a lot to learn English, or at least to understand it.

Subtitles all the way. Dubbed films drive me nuts. I can't watch English films dubbed in any other language because they usually do such a shitty job of dubbing it that I can hear the English and I end up straining to hear it.

There are some quite good dubs, I think all the "dub hate" on the internet is not really earned. But I do try to use subtitles with original language when I can.

That depends how good the dub is. I speak English but I like watching German shows on Netflix (Dark, Babylon Berlin, etc) and the English dubs are just awful. Dubs are better for animated shows, but for ones where you're trying to hear but it doesn't match up with the lips of the performer, it's very distracting

I would say it depends on the movie you watching. If it's something like Disney or Marvel I would rather watched it dubbed.

Not that all the dubs are that awful, but always preferring to watch original with subtitles. For more advanced you could just turn off the subtitles aswell.
