Graphics cards cost/value

Does anyone know why lately we've been experiencing a significant rise in video card prices? It also seems very consistent, It's been some months from when it first started

same thing with prices of used cars recently, issue getting materials for a lot of things right now during whats going on, Just try to get a 1080 ti or maybe a 20 series second hand, ive had my 10 series for years now and can still play in 4k on high-ultra no issues, it depends on what you gonna spend.

Largely it's been because of rising demand (people are at home) and a great release from both Nvidia and AMD (enticing upgrade from 10XX). This is coupled with shortages in supply. Furthermore it's exacerbated by the mining rush taking up even more of the demand (like it did a few years ago) and scalpers taking advantage more than usual.

In general, big rip if you need a GPU. The best way to get one for a reasonable price is best buy

FixItFixItFixIt is also a great source, good discord bot and stream to give you a sense of community and support in these trying times lol
