Is it just me or had csgo gotten harder to run? I remember something like 6 years ago when my computer could get over 200fps on max settings playing any map in csgo. Now, I’m lucky to hit 144. The game looks practically the same as it always did, but performance has gotten so much worse. As far as I know, my computer hasn’t gotten any slower since that time so I honestly don’t know what’s the cause.

I noticed after the update where they included that battle royale mode my old laptop which could hit 140fps decently enough was struggling to do 90 consistently, I'm not sure what they changed but it could just be the new maps having more polygons and stuff.
