How’s the Job Market?
#1
I know the world has been through a lot and plenty of people lost jobs or had to quit to take care of kids. Here, the stimulus helped a lot of people make it through but now that things are getting back to normal, a lot of people have the ability to go back to work. What does that look like in your area - are there a lot of opportunities? Are people taking them or leaving them?

Lots of job openings in places like restaurants and retail stores here. There hasn't been as much of a worker shortage as the media's been hyping, but there's certainly no lack of jobs if you're looking for one.

#3
yeah really depends on the industry.  alot of the middle of the road office jobs have been sucked up, but things like etail really justwant more workers

White collar jobs here in my country are absolutely booming atm because there's a shortage of talent due to lack of immigration. So job market is very hot, salaries have gone up a fair bit

#5
Even if you already have a job, now is the time to look for something else! Labor is gaining an upper hand in the market (for now)

#6
Yeah so long as interest rates stay the same and people don't get scared of fake inflation (it's not inflation, it's that there's a shortage of stuff so prices are up)

#7
It’s going well in the grocery industry

All the jobs local to me that are available in bulk are at fast food restaurants. All of them are offering exactly $1 USD above the minimum wage, as if that's a great offering. Everything else is the same. And I don't see any new white collar stuff available, or even trades work available. I'm just in awe of how shitty it really is here.

#9
lots of stuff out there these days

#10
Lots of jobs wher i am

#11
Hot hot hot, most opportunities in a while. Huge turnover rates!

#12
Absolutely ruined by the capatilists that refuse to even think about socialism

the job market looks tough and confusing on my end, any tips?
