Why Disney won’t start with John Carter sequel? Just watched the movie and later searched a bit about it and I don’t understand the criticism

I liked the movie too. but modern hollywood would probably butcher the sequel.

omg there's more fans! I thought i was one of the very few hahahahah. I really really loved it! Was so sad that it was botched at the box office. I think it came out at a really bad time and was overshadowed by the big boys. The story and premise is really good!
