Kimberly Peirce's remake of "Carrie" was a huge disappointment.

Not even Julianne Moore could save this mess.

It was so awful. Dreary, low energy performances. No reason to exist.

Chloe Moretz looks too good from the beginning and not even that particularly troubled. I was like, wearing a raggedy ann dress hardly makes you seem like the ugly outsider Carrie is meant to be. By comparison on a acting level, while Sissy Spacek adds layers to the words, Chloe just mutters them.

The one thing that generates some kind of shock is when Chris Hargensen goes thru the windshield of the car and gets stuck there and Carrie comes and looks at her.

I don't get the point of remaking Carrie when the original is so good.
