Looking on the bright side of COVID-19
#1
Every disaster has a few good things that come out of it. What long-term benefits will the coronavirus epidemic and social distancing have? I can think of a few likely ones:

--Social distancing will cause rates of other transmissible diseases to drop sharply. This could be the lightest year for influenza and measles in decades.

--Scientists will develop a better understanding of viral disease.

--Technologies for remote learning and remote work will become more advanced and more commonplace.

--People will get better about following the basic hygiene habits they should have been following all along.

Cheers

You’re right. Some positive has come out of this pandemic like social distancing since no one likes having another person breathing down your neck when you line up.

Force place to make a reservation instead of waiting in line.

I'd also add that covid made us have more free time at home during quarantine. This could help learning a new skill, find new hobbies, self reflect and evaluate yourself. Gottalook on the bright side!

I worry that remote work/education will not be "commonplace" even though it needs to become common
