I recently got a notification that my mega account was found to have “objectionable content” and that it will be permanently banned if I don’t delete all objectionable files. I have too many files to go through to do that… I don’t know if anyone has run into this problem before but I’m thinking of sharing the files to a new account and subsequently deleting my old account. Not sure if this is a good idea or if they have some sort of trail that tells them where the file originally came from-I’m assuming shared files from here or another leak site got reported and since I used that link to download the files, they gave my account a  strike. Anyone have suggestions?

Just stop sharing files, you'll be okay.

The thing is I’ve never shared files, only downloaded from links, which I have to assume is where it came from.

That's possible, just be careful moving forward. Perhaps backup you're data, better safe then sorry

I never shared, only added links but my entire mega account got wiped recently

none of my megas have been banned but i only ever download if im logged out.

and never share anything i upload when logged in. i also only upload encrypted 7z's to my megas.

on another note anyone have good practices for making new mega accounts that wont trace back to me? i want to contribute some of the sets that i have here, but safely.
