One thing I think I’m glad to see the back of in recent years is that there don’t seem to be any specific video games rushed out to tie in to an individual movie release. They were almost always pretty rubbish and disappointing experiences. Can anyone think of any good ones?

I think the golden era was 2D platforming where all the mechanics were the same barring some puzzles that are relevant to the intellectual property, then throw on some film related sprites and call it a day. Movie tie-ins were a crap shoot when 3D came along and you could either have shovelware or a really memorable nostalgic game that surpasses expectations.
