As a non-anime watcher and netflix subscriber i delved into Neon Genesis Evangelion and was pleasantly surprised by how enticing it was especially the End of Evangelion. What are your opinions on it. It would be interesting to maybe hear from people that arent regular anime watchers although those are welcome as well.

Well here's the thing, from what I found out the Netflix version of Evangelion is actually heavily nerfed from the original. The voice actors are different, the dialogue had been changed, and fly me to the moon was taken away from the ending. Makes me kind of sad cause I felt like something was missing and stuff was going over my head. So I'm gonna buy the original dvd and rewatch it

Haven't seen the newremastered versions but definitely a shame the ending never was done properly. It got very trippy

Excellent series. I prefer the original ending than the end of evangelion though, NGE is supposed to be taken non-literally, three last episodes practically talk directly to the viewer and End of Evangelion takes that away to have more literal experience.
Still great though.
