While i do think it looks a little odd, none of the previous ps consoles looked like its predecessor. I think the worst part of it is that the controller no longer has the iconic ps look. It looks like a generic controller that you might see in a show on tv.

I mean when have we ever said omg that looks amazing when it comes to these. I at least give them credit for going for something different. Could have just been another clunky looking device. At least this stands out.
