Programming in your spare time
#1
Does anyone here work as a programmer and also program in their free time? If so, what hobby project do you like to work on? Personally, I program around 10 hours every week in my spare time on various projects. It's easier to get motivated when doing stuff you really like, plus it's a great opportunity to try new things out (currently checking out Unity for the first time).

Anyone else do the same or do you get enough of programming while working?

I don't do any programming in my job, just as a hobby. Usually I make fun, small CLI apps good for use on shared servers. Most recently I made a small program that reads stdin, writes each line onto a note, then folds that note into an ASCII plane before throwing it across the terminal. Even though it's a terminal app, it's got mouse support as well. Click/tap on a plane to unfold it and see what the note is.

Most people I've heard from stop doing it as a hobby when they get employed, or at least they do a lot less.
