There have been leaks suggesting that the upcoming RTX 40 series GPUs could pull 600W of power, though that estimate is mainly for the 4090. Lower end models, such as the 4080 and 4070 would be less.I just rebuilt my PC with an 850W power supply, so I hope the mid-range models are not too power hungry.

If these cards really do pull as much power as people think, do you think that we'll see a big spike in demand for 1000W+ power supplies?

It's getting bad to have every generation bump up the power draw so much. You used to be able to have power supplies last a couple builds. Nowadays I've had to almost replace it with each card.
