Never watched Star Wars so can't really tell. Give me a reason why I should watch it.

to be honest you probably wouldn’t like. most people I know that didn’t watch the movies as a kid usually end up being not very impressed

Have to agree with Jay here. If you didn’t watch as a kid, it just really seems over hyped. Nothing could live up to the reputation that Star Wars has, and the two newer trilogies don’t help. Lots of good books out there that would make good stand alone movies though. Like Solo or Rogue One and. A good point was made about starting with Rogue One, it’s the best movie to ease into the Star Wars universe.

Cliche, but Darth Vader is an incredibly done badass villain in the original trilogy, with nice redemption at the end
