I recently did this! We did the Machete Order (I'd seen them all), and so we went IV, V, II, III, VI.

We skipped I of course.  
  
The sequel trilogy, I like the first one alright (it's basically IV again) but it gets worse from there and I just disliked IX to the point it ruined it for me.

either release order (4,5,6,1,2,3) or machete order (4,5,1,2,3,6). and you can skip episode 1 in either order. I don't care much for the new trilogy so I wouldn't even both showing that to someone new to star wars. maybe if they wanted to explore more themselves after watching the first two trilogies with me.

Two ways the original trilogy, prequels, then new trilogy or 4 5 1 2 3 6 7 8 9 but honestly, I would just watch it how it is sequentially according to relesae date.

As someone who saw the end of Prequel trilogy in IMAX, I'd say start with Prequel, then original trilogy. Or maybe 4, 1-3, 5, 6
