What are some of the differences between streaming on Twitch rather than YouTube?  Is Twitch the better platform since it's a dedicated streaming service?

Well according to some, twitch is better cuz of their donation system, also it is way much convenient for streamers as you mentioned

Twitch’s tos is much more users friendly then yt, twitch is by far a better platform to stream and build a live stream fan base, the quality of the stream in 5X better and the donation setup they got is amazing

yep twitch TOS are more lenient that youtube, but over all for me youtube is much better since they don't give a shit who every you are aslong as you broke the TOS you get a proper punishment, equal treatment. in case of twitch just a simple tweet could turn a around a deceision from a well known streamer (does not work 100%) but there are a lot of instances where it worked but in youtube good luck

Twitch is definitely more strict but imo has a better discoverability of new streamers than YouTube.
