Is User experience design a good major to pursue?

I'm a software engineer and the UX folks I work with really enjoy their jobs!  I personally care deeply about good UX so it's near and dear to my heart.  I do work at a great company though so really any job here is probably amazing, but if you like design and care about creating engaging experiences, it's an awesome field!

Usually it is as you can get good money for quick work, but it all boils down to skills you have

Its good to have knowledge of UX design and there are many job positions for UX/UI engineers. But if its good as a major only depends on how much you like it and how much you will enjoy it and nothing more.

It is an essential study but whether it's worth it or not depends on you. Do you enjoy this type of work? If the answer is yes, then go for it.
