Upgrading to an SSD ?
#1
Is it worth me spending $100 on upgrading my 500GB hard drive to a 1TB SSD?

Is the performance boost going to be worth $100?

Thanks

Nand SSD 970 evo NVMe M.2.  It cost me 79.99 but the price has gone up to 100(usd).  It is 500gb and I use it for my "main" games and I've never looked back. Although I do have a 10Tb hard drive for my other games that I don't play as frequently.

yes!
ssd ftw!

it's one of the best thing i did on my computer!

i changed to a ssd, and even the games run better

what i did was putting my old 1TB hd to archive some files and games, and the ssd for windows and for some really heavy games, like Metro Exodus.

and everything run smooth and perfect

it's the best thing you will do changing for a ssd

Are Samsung ones any good or are there any others you’d recommend?

mine is a kingston btw

Once you upgrade to SSD you will never go back to HDD - it's just soooo much faster. General experience with PC is better, games are loading faster. Only the price makes it a bit harder to swap.

HDD is only useful for backup these day

Upgrading to any kind of SSD even if it is a sata ssd is worth it You will notice it in you day to day usage just check first if it have any dram cache first without DRAM cache Sometimes ssd perform same as a hard disk
