I am mostly interested in smartphone and discussion around the best players, download vs stream, and maybe conversion/up/down scaling

I have tried and its pretty good just using the hub and smartphone, but it could be better..  Downloading and using vr mobile station is a bit better, but unpredictable with what files will work..

The Samsung Gear VR is cool if you have a samsung phone. I watched it couple of times. It gets immersive. But the lenses can get a little bit steamed up haha

you can find sbs vids on PH and use it with any cheap 3D smartphone headset from ebay

I got a cheap VR headset from Amazon and tried using it with my smartphone. It sucks. My advice would be to spend a little more if you really want to enjoy it. Not necessarily the super high-end headset, but not a cheap one either.

Tried a few VR porn videos on oculus and was not impressed.  Cliche content - nothing seems to take advantage of the capability yet.
