As far as I know, it's not about the actors or anything like that. The show is really well produced and the lore is pretty interesting. The premisse is not completely unique, since games that result in death were already a thing in Saw, but this is just different. It's all about childhood games with a dark twist to it and a competition. I really recommend you watching it, I really enjoyed the whole thing.
