If my original wifi is apart of my motherboard, can i replace it by adding a new card? Mine is acting up and needs to be replaced and i was going to upgrade it to PCle anyway

Yes you can buy a PCIe wifi card and it'll be detected and usable by your computer. You'll need to adjust the settings so that the computer uses the new adapter in Network & Internet > Change Adapter Settings and enable the new PCIe and disable the old mobo one
