It was being abused in the past. Users would post a link, then edit the post with either ad filled garbage redirect links, and then CP. All in an effort to take down the board.

I'll enable It for contributors , I think the risk is low for them.

Yes this would be great, I was trying to update the photo on some older posts that were no longer showing but could not find a way to do it.
