low budget movies
#1
Do any of you guys ever enjoy low budget movies or TV shows? I'm talking like around $10 million budget.

Sure there's the occasional classic like Cloverfield or The Purge but most of the time I find the acting to be cringy, probs due to not being to afford the best actors or script writers.

Any of you regularly enjoy low budget movies and have any reccomendations?

Many films produced/distributed by A24 are rather low budget (<5 million) and I enjoyed them quite a bit.
A few recommendations:
The Lighthouse (2019)
Good Time (2017)
The Florida Project (2017)
The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019)

I enjoy low budget films that know they are low budget and so focus on the acting. They dont try to do big battles or hide behind effects because they cant afford them. They usually have very good acting because they cant hide it if the actors suck. This movies are more like plays though than anything like cloverfield or blair witch project.
