I just joint this site, and read about contributer system, credit points to view hidden content and the upgrade perks.
I still want to make sure if I payed the 55$ in upgrade perks, do I still need to earn the points thing to view hidden content?

No, the credits system is for free users. If you upgrade to Onyx, you get immediate and full access. Elite members get the same, only that only lasts 2 months and doesn't give access to the Onyx lounge and any Onyx only content.
