24. was it ground breaking or just a gimmick show
#1
I am rewatching 24 and i got to season six and i was just trying to work out if the real time gimmick works for all the seasons. For season one it really does but for all the other seasons they seem to be strecthed out to accomodate the structure and not the structure accomodating the story.

so my question to you all who watched it, have you gone back to it? and does it hold up to you?

never liked it, thought it was too proud of itself for coming up with a single idea.

First season was ground breaking when it first aired on live television. I never watched the entire series on television but was able to rewatch it streaming and binging it and with the time period in mind and considering the current era the show holds up rather well. To be sure, the show, does get absurd regarding the plotlines in various seasons, but that's part of the charm of the show and I don't believe it detracts from it especially during binge watching.

Also, check out Prison Break. Burn Notice/White Collar.
