Been thinking of buying a 4k or 1440p monitor for mainly watching movies
I don't really play games that often

Is the 4k price really worth it or should I save the money and go for 1440p?

4k is definitely worth it for movies - the quality is noticeably better

Only if you're watching on a big TV imo. I don't notice the difference enough even on a 4k monitor that's only 24". However it's clear on a 50" TV that 4k is helping.

If you watch movies you should definitely get a 4k TV. Why bother with a small monitor. Unless you sit three inches in front of it you won't be able to tell the difference between 1440p and 4k

Really depends on the screen size, 1440p probably easier to get better frames in games.
