A world without social media?
#1
I love discussing alternate realities and alternate histories, speculating about how the world we live in could be completely different.

What do you guys think the world would be like if social media didn't exist? It would definitely completely change the way we interact with each other, and reduce the overall connectedness of the world.

Thoughts?

It'd probably be a more productive world.

>no social media
>no reason to stare at your phone
>no reason to stare at your computer long than your game or your homework or work
>have to text someone to talk to them
>have to call someone to talk to them
>have to actually meet up with a person to talk to them
>no more Tinder or other shit like that
>have to meet girls in the real world
>women lose part of their advantage by losing social media
>women have to work to get attention after losing social media
>people have to go outside
>kids have to go outside to play
>our brains start working better after we lose all those sources of radiation
>people get to know their neighbors and neighborhoods, hoodlums get removed quick

It's like it's the pre-Internet 1980s again. The horror!

Less accountability required by any mob mentality shenanigans, and it would be a lot harder to reach out to folks from afar as well.

I dont think it would be very good, a lot of modern culture has been mostly due to our interconnectivity online
