Been an avid watch of anime for almost two decades now, and I must say - I think it's been quite a while since a year had multiple seasons with more than 5 really good anime each. I think since the golden ages of the mid 2000s and early 2010s, there haven't been frequently good seasons, but still really good anime individually that have come out. Or would that be a big claim to say - that this year has been one of the best years for anime in recent decades?

because of the pandemic, 2020's animes all delayed to 2021, and 2021's anime aired 2021 anyway, so this year has many good titles because so many shows has been clumped up to a single year.
not that its a bad thing, Im always happy to have new and good shows to watch!

Right now, everything is completely shoved due to COVID. Just give it some time, and the times will return.
