I mostly just do bouldering at my local rock climbing gym, it's pretty fun to figure out different ways to get to the top and the community is pretty supportive and helping. Also, sometimes its one move or lead thats blocking you to get to the rest of the route and trying to figure out the best way around is pretty fun both mentally and physically. Also bouldering doesn't require as much endurance.
Rock climbing where you're like 40 feet above the ground isn't for me but other people like it.
