I am a big anime and manga fan and I was trying to introduced some friends into it  and thought that real life adaptations of them would be a good first step.  The problem is that all the ones I have found are very cringy. I find that the scenes in anime seem normal but with real actors it is a bit cringe. Do people have recommendations of one's I should try that you think are great or not too cringy? Thanks

Detroit metal city.
Even though the live action movie goes into a different direction than the original anime/manga it feels like its own thing and the way it does its characters is great actually and does a great job at bringing DMC to life despite not going on the same route so to speak.

I haven't read the manga or seen the anime but Alita Battle Angle was a pretty good film. It set it itself up for a sequel which does mean it's open ended and doesn't really resolve the plot but visually it's very well made.
