I've just discovered this how and find it utterly compelling and interesting. I don't think I've seen many sci-fi shows with such depth of imagination with a hard sense of place and world building. Does anyone have any recommendations for shows like this?

im interested in the theme and it has a good rating but i just cannot get past the first episode, although im not sure why

It's really really worth persevering with! It has pretty hard sci-fi edge to it, I would say try and give it the first season, and if it hasn't grabbed you then fair enough.

It's a fantastic show! It's based on a series of books, if you liked the show and like reading give them a try.

I love the series, but I FUCKING LOVE the books, the novels actually have space zombies and shit in them, it's totally wild and well written. If you like the show I couldn't recommend the books more highly.
