With the announcement of Apple using their own chips in their laptops. 
I've been think about starting to trying to code some pretty basic apps. I have a little experience, but not much.
Does anyone have recommendations on where I should start?

Get the latest build of xcode and get familiar with it, hacking with swift is a great guide, you can find examples made in swift 5 in github, good luck!
