Are Tarantino Movies overrated?
#1
I really like almost all of his movies and I totally disagree when someone tell me that they are basic and mediocre, I think people say this because of the big boom they had among this new generation (Gen Z), and film enthusiasts might get kinda mad sometimes

#2
I think some are super overrated. Pulp Fiction is kinda mediocre and long, but I do love Django Unchained

#3
I think he brought an improved way of making films to the table. He figured out how to modify the hook that's used to get us to pay attention to movies. He's no Stanley Kubrick, but he has his own niche, just like Kubrick.

#4
Kill Bill was such a fun watch.

#5
Kill bull was good

There are a few that are worth watching once but movies like inglourious basterds are so fun to watch again and again
Please like, reply, and give credits! Smile

#9
pseudo cults art hoes are the ones to blame his overvalorization

#10

Quentin Tarantino was a breath of fresh air to a movie industry that was getting saturated in personal dramas and Star Wars ripoffs. His films are very unique which is why he was so lauded throughout the 90s and 00s.

I don't think he is overrated, but I do think his more recent films still use a style that I think is played out now.

Another commenter mentioned Pulp Fiction being slow, but at the time it was loud, violent, funny and exciting.

It still is, and yes it is a bit rough around the edges (Reservoir Dogs is even more rough). But for what it is, it's still a great film.

Kill Bill is definitely his masterpiece though.

#14
Yeah funny that this should be brought up, I just watched Kill Bill with a couple of friends yesterday. It definitely holds up, and it's very clear that Tarantino is a student of the art.

#15
As someone who doesnt expect much into movies, i can say that i enjoyed a lot of his work.

He is a good enough director and has made many interesting films. Above all, they are not separated from the public.
