Do people actually get arrested for torrenting stuff? I've heard of people who search up the IPs of people who torrent and try to blackmail them.

In mosit contries you cant be arrested but you can be sued by the owner of the copywright.

I don't think you can be arrested, but you can be fined. Especially if they want to make an example of someone, which they've done the past.

If you're going to torrent, spend a few bucks on a good VPN.

If you live in a place where you can get sued for an IP address, move.ID by IP is at best unreliable
