Any recommendations for funny books? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's hard to find a book that actually makes me laugh. Terry Prachett's Discworld series does it for me usually, but I haven't had much luck finding anything else.

In addition to heartily seconding the recommendation of Hitchhiker's Guide, I think Adams' other series Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is similarly great and slightly under-appreciated (although recent TV treatments have helped its visibility).
