MK 10 and 11 are definitely the best in terms of fighting mechanics, graphic and storyline. Armageddon has the best konquest mode (Shaolin Monk style) and spent a lot of time trying to max out the custom Fatality.

My overall favorite is MK: Deception. Konquest mode expanded the lore by exploring new realms and characters. Chess & Puzzle combat mini-games were fun. With a total of 26 characters each with 2 fatalities and a hara-kiri I spent a lot of time watching those.
