Best affordable cars in 2020?
#1
What do you think about buying a car now that there are discounts due to the COVID situation?

Do you have any advices or opinions in brands or models?

A lot of car brands have 0% interest right now, but the catch is you got to buy brand new, and not used.

Some of the brands ever offer making like first 6 months of payment for you.

But i've been thinking more and more of getting a Tesla, just so i don't have to deal with getting gas.

I have thought about the Tesla too, but it’s too expensive for a “normal” car (in the sense that it can’t compete against premiums in extras/reliability in the same price tag).

Obviously the software looks interesting, but the autopilot is not a great appeal to me (at the current stage, at least, that is not totally refined), and the autonomy is still a big problem if you live away from cities and like to do long trips by car (and you have to deal with cold climates that cut by half or more the autonomy of the batteries).

For the best affordable car I always pick the Toyota model. A lot of the time they are pretty boring cars but they have far fewer maintenance issues then other brands.

I am hoping some of the other brands get some good EVs. Right now Tesla just has to many issues on a lot of their cars. Seems like they went with some overally complicated features like the falcon doors when they can barely get the panels on the cars assembled correctly.

The market is all bought up, it’s not a great time to buy a car since after June.
