Best free antivirus (lightweight!)
#1
I've seen this question asked prior, however the criteria of memory usage was never brought up. I'm looking to put an antivirus software on an old machine I've got, so I need it to be lightweight. Any suggestions?

i've always put ESET NOD32 onto older computers and never had a problem. I used to use avast a lot but i noticed each version seemed to get more and memory hungry

#3
I've always found windows defender to work well enough for me. Having two antivirus is a big no when it comes to performance.

Avg is pretty secure n good with anti track vpn and driver updates

#5
no idea how good it is but I use avg antivirus

Windows Defender ? for a free product, he does the job.

#7
I use Kasperksy Internet Security, which costs a bit. Has a good protection and is lightweight

Windows defender does its job.

The built in windows defender has always worked well enough for me. I fine the other stuff to just be expensive and unnecessary. They also tend to slow you down. Even the lightweight stuff.

I've been just using windows defender for the last years and it works perfectly

I've heard ESET is pretty lightweight but does the job still good
