Does anyone know what happens if you unlock a thread with credits and the links turn out to be broken?

Do you just lose the credits and it's just tough luck?
Or does this situation rarely arise because broken links are quickly moved to the archive section?

Just curious if anyone had experienced this?

We are working on a system that will fix this.

Yes right now you lose the credits but we need to find a way to fix this so you can get a refund for those lost credits
