Hi!
I wrote a small and basic extension for both Chrome and Opera that removes the annoying automatic message: "X has posted a new thread" in the chat box / Memebox.
I am not good at Javascript at all so it is very simple and basic but feel free to create a fork and improve it!

You can find installation instructions in the readme file on the Github page as well.
There is a prebuilt plugin file in the repo, just drag it into Chrome or Opera and install it.
