Buying a new pc
#1
My current pc is from about 2013. I swapped some parts over the years but the mother board is starting to get old...
I was wondering after how much time do you usually get a new pc?

Prior to adulthood it was 5 years, tops, but depending on what you switched out and on the original parts it could add on a couple of years. A hdd wont last you that Kong but if you have a sdd then its no problem.

if you spend like $1500, you can easily go 8 years without touching it. Right now is a good time to build but I would wait to buy a GPU unless you can buy it MSRP

Yeah that was my thought. To buy a new one as soon as prices normalise.
Right now GPU prices are about 250% in my country

The only reason to get a PC if you have upgraded parts is if the games you're playing start to outpace your system. The motherboard imo is too greatly value (it's pretty much only there to integrate your components). If you want the new PCI gen slots for whatever reason or using the SSDs or newer gen RAM then i'd say get a new system

I usually use it for less than five years
