Second, it is tomato's cooked and conserved in sugar.

its a smoothie

Knowledge is knowing that tomatos are a fruit.
Wisdom is knowing that you don't put tomatos into a fruit salad.

Ketchup is a MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMM!

#9
I think it depends on what you consider a jelly too

#10
Its more a chutney, if anything, being made with sugar and vinegar. Jam utilises pectin to set the boiled mixture of fruit and sugar. I vote no.

Ketchup is a puree. Put honey in it and it's now a masterpiece.

#12
I'd say ketchup is a closest to a jam, yes.

#13
Yeah it’s definitely a jam. You just blew my mind.

Definitions:

Jam: a sweet spread or preserve made from fruit and sugar boiled to a thick consistency.

Ketchup: a smooth sauce made chiefly from tomatoes and vinegar, used as a condiment.

I think the main difference is one viscosity. One is a spread and can somewhat hold its gelatanous shape the other is a sauce. So no I dont think theyre the same.

That said, im loving these food comparison threads haha.

You are all ketchup eaters.

>You are all ketchup eaters.
Nah, I prefer A1 sauce with my steaks.

#17
I'd rather call it a yoghurt. But jam is acceptable

#18
Man this one got me very confused.. But yeah after all I'll accept it being a Jam!

#19
yeah i'd say so

#20
